Well, after over five years I've dusted off the old WHQ and am running a session with some friends tomorrow. It just dawned on me, I don't think WHQ has any rules for one of the staple activities of old school dungeon crawling ... looting your fallen companions! Here's what I came up with.
You can attempt to loot the fallen body of a dead Warrior you are adjacent to, as long as there are no Monsters on the board. This takes your entire turn. Roll an Initiative test.2-3 - Your loud and careless rummaging attracts unwanted attention. Draw an Event Card next turn, even if a 1 is not rolled in the Power Phase.
4-5 - You're unable to grab anything of value this turn.
6 - You manage to collect 1d6x10 of the fallen Warrior's Gold.
7-8 - You collect 1d6x100 Gold, or one random piece of Equipment or Treasure, your choice.
9-10 - You take one piece of Equipment or Treasure of your choosing.
11+ - You deftly procure one piece of gear of your choosing, as well as 1d6x100 of their Gold.
